Lovely Lakeside Stay
My family had a fabulous stay at Larry and Bev’s chalet. Comfy beds, well-appointed kitchen, quiet, with fun lakeside activities. We caught fish off the dock and enjoyed the amazing amenities at Innsbrook. We definitely hope to return!

Birthday Retreat
Quick birthday getaway to our favorite hidden gem in Missouri. Can’t say enough about Innsbrook. Chalet had everything we needed - large master bath on first floor. Big plus versus most of the other chalets in area. Larry was very accessible leading up to and during our stay. First time staying on Aspen lake so it was nice to sit down on the large dock and take in all of Mother Nature. Highly recommend staying at this property.

Comforting and quiet stay
Stayed here with family in mid-October. The cabin was nice and quiet, and plenty of space for group of 6. We enjoyed spending time on the deck fishing and taking the canoe and kayak out. We brought bird food and enjoyed all the birding activity on the large deck and around the area. Hosts were very nice and we had no issues.

Lovely cottage, lovely vibe
We stayed at Larry and Bev’s cottage for our annual, kid-free girls weekend and we couldn’t have been happier. The cottage is beautiful, clean, well-stocked with flatware, cookware, etc, and sleeps 6 adults comfortably. Larry went above and beyond to make sure we took advantage of all the goodies the cabin affords—nearly 360 views of the lake, wood burning stove, and even a visit on our last day from the eagle that frequents the property. We loved it there and would definitely stay there again. It’s a true jewel!

Everything you could ask for!
Our family vacation was great! The property was perfect. Plenty to do inside if we needed, but we spent most of our time in the lake kayaking, fishing from the dock, and sitting on the beach just down the road. The house was great with everything you could ask for, even labels on the lights.

Everything you could ask for in a lake vacation
The house was full of things to do and everything you need. We were able to fish off the dock almost everyday, cruise around on the kayaks, and use the resort amenities. We couldn't ask for a better location for a lake vacation. As a bonus the lake is incredibly quiet during the week. Almost no one is around.

Perfect Spring Weekend

"All You Need is Love" Wedding Getaway
Bev and Larry were amazing. Very accommodating. Friend from all over came in town for a weekend away. They all fell in love with Innsbrook, and especially this beautiful home! The view of the lake from the home and huge back porch gave such a feeling of serenity.

Holiday Getaway on the Lake!
Our belated Thanksgiving was truly complete - and spectacular, with our lakeside setting in the woods! Very cozy, comfortable, well-kept property made us feel at home. Lots of room, and the beds were super comfortable. Every amenity was available (to prepare our turkey dinner with all the trimmings), and the property, deck, and view were all fantastic! Loved the special gifts ... the S'mores Basket and bottle of wine topped off our lovely family dinner. Will definitely look to comeback - we had an amazing weekend!

Nice but some drawbacks
Is as stated hard to get into but that is an understatement as is the path to the dock. The bed is close to impossible to get into. - I am 5’5” and it came up to my hip (2” from waist)- having said that the view of the lake and deck wonderful

Relaxing
We enjoyed our time at Innsbrook. We were looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway so that our family could have some time together before my son left for military training and that is exactly what we got. Correspondence with the owners was great! They were responsive and answered all of our questions. They provided us with a lot of great information. The housekeepers could have done a little better job of cleaning, but I am a neat freak so I notice where things can be cleaner a little more than others. The walk to the dock was a workout so I wouldn't recommend it for someone that is not in good physical shape. We did really enjoy spending a lot of time at the dock. We enjoyed using the kayaks, as well. Loved that we could take our dogs too! We all enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.

A wonderful birthday surprise getaway for my husband!!!
A perfect cabin for a perfect getaway. We planned this trip months ago with the kids as a surprise for my husband's birthday. We looked at many locations, but this A-frame cabin stood out the most for us, especially with the kids, and the fact that it had a golf cart was a huge bonus. A week before the trip we had a life-changing event as my husband suffered a heart attack and we didn't know if the trip was even possible. I was in constant communication with Larry and Bev and they were so understanding and helpful with everything. We got the clearance to go ahead as my husband recovered quickly and the surprise was a great success and exactly what he needed that week. We swam in the lake/creek, we grilled, relaxed, played board games that were provided, everything that we needed was there. It was such an awesome experience that many of our friends requested info. Larry and Bev were amazing at communication even though they were on their own vacation, they still contacted us if things were going well. If you are looking for a nature filled getaway, this cabin on the lake is your answer. Great place, great hosts. 5 stars all the way.

Good Weekend Despite Expectations
Larry was an excellent host, responsive and provided extensive detail ahead of time. However, the pictures of the property seem to be severely outdated, which, while sufficient, didn't meet our expectations coming into the house. It's true the property sleeps eight, but know this is a very cramped eight. The photos of the interior seem spacious when it's actually maximizing camera angles. First, we selected this property because of the beautiful deck. The photos make it seem nice and new when it's quite the opposite. It's rickety and left us a little uneasy about our being on it simultaneously (we had a group of 7). The railing didn't seem stable. The walkways had nails sticking out and loose boards. The stairs leading up to the deck were not properly anchored and wobbled when you neared the top. This is not a toddler-friendly property. Inside, the furnishings were sufficient but rustic. Some parts of the flooring feel like they're about to give. The sunroom was one of those spaces, the kitchen the other. The hosts do provide kayaks, oars, life vests, and plenty of household amenities (towels, glasses, fully stocked kitchen) to make for a pleasant stay. The lake was beautiful, we kayaked, swam, and grilled all weekend. We will definitely visit Innsbrook again, and had a great experience overall, though I feel like the property would be better suited with some updated photographs so you know what you're getting.

0 Stars if I could!!!! Somethings are not what they appear to be!!
these pictures may look good on this site but they do not show the whole picture!!! Some furniture is not the same as pictured! It doesn't seem like there has been any upkeep at all! There are exposed wires all over the walls and even in the bathroom! The mattress on the main floor bedroom has to be 20 years old! It is not clean! The closet door in bedroom is broken, blind in bedroom would not work. The chair next to couch seems almost like it will fold over when you sit back in it! (and the chairs next to sofa in this pictures are not what is in cabin) I could go on and on with the conditions of the Chalet! And I haven't even started on the outside!! The terrain going to the chalet from the car and also to the dock, is so steep if you have any challenges with going up hill. beware of this place! And the drive where you park your car is even worse!!!! No where in these pictures is this shown. Or anywhere in the written description does it say anything about the terrain around the cabin! We paid for 4 nights!!! We got there and stayed only one and left next day!! We would of left that night but was afraid to get car stuck in drive at dark!!! We did not get any money refunded at all! I was very uncomfortable in this place! And not happy with the response of the owners when told we were not happy!

Great place to stay
Great view of the lake, tucked back in the woods. Nice place. Only down fall was since you are in the woods the acorns are all over the deck and hoping one doesn't hit you in the head. But other than that it was great.
