"Cool little spot firther from any amenities than I anticipated. Las Islitas was a 10min drive and very cool place to hang out. The beach at Kavala was pretty good, a bit less swimmable/beach vibe than expected but great for walking up and down at sunset. Overall nice stay, just a bit of a small isolated vibe. "Nice small house to stay. Having a cook to prepare the delicious meal is great! Doris the manger, was nice to work with and very accommodating. Bedrooms are air conditioned. There’s a pool on the ground level which my husband enjoyed and it’s just a short few blocks away to get to the beach. All in all, we would definitely stay there again. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They even have a taxi that will pick you up and take you back to whatever town you need. Just ask the hosts to set that up for you. The place is located up a ways on the main road that comes into town. We had a lovely time in chacala but be prepared to climb cobble stone hills. 😃"
