Grand but somewhat dated. Room was larger than I expected. Bed comfortable. Bathroom acceptable and functional, though furnishings quite old. Friendly and helpful staff.

Terrible. Do not stay here.
Large old dirty unkempt room. Terrible air quality (musty and moldy- respiratory issues started immediately when entering room). Outdated and non functioning toilets, dirty shower (did not even brave using it). Breakfast food tasteless and of very low quality. Hotel agreed to modify reservation to one night from 2 nights and now refuses to adjust bill. Charged for 2 nights even though we checked out early as agreed. When we try to call hotel the discuss, they hang up.

Very friendly staff. Lovely setting. Close to supermarket and cafes. We felt very welcome. Bathroom fittings were very old, some mould in the grouting that could not be cleaned. Water pressure was excellent though.

何十年前かは、ここで結婚式を挙げるのがステータスだったと思うけど、如何せん、駅から遠い、設備が古い、で競争力は落ちているのでしょうね。近くの八文字屋書店は山形の田舎者にとっては、憧れの本屋だったけど。駅までの道、雪降る中、かみしめながら歩いて、7時12分の新幹線に乗りました。実家の『家終い』で帰省したので、米沢過ぎた辺りの車窓からの雪景色は、これで見納めか、としみじみ？しました。

朝はゆっくり寝ていたかったので、素泊まりのプランで宿泊しましたが、部屋の中に数種類の味がたのしめる無料で飲めるドリップコーヒーがあり、とても楽しめて大満足でした。合わせて、チェックアウト後でも無料で一杯コーヒーがいただけたのも嬉しかったです。
