First off the owners when contacted were lovely. The place itself could be beautiful but does look slightly run down. The room the granary was gorgeous inside with no issues. The outside "private" hot tub area looked a little worse for wear. Fence leaning over, looked like it needed a lot of TLC and is not private at all. Not inclosed, could see people walking past where it looks like a gate was needed and there was metal stairs going upstairs which we wernt sure where they went. The hot tub jets were also not powerful at all but was hot for arrival. Overall a nice stay but dont think we would return

Lovely place stayed one night to celebrate valentines rose petals on bed chocolates and a rose what a lovely touch room was lovely and warm and had a lovely sleep will be going back again a enjoyable experience

Quirky but nice.
Lovely quirky place with a very friendly, helpful manager. Our room was OK, rather basic but overall nice and clean. There are no breakfast facilities so it means a drive into Yarm - tho it's a really lovely town. The pub is very close by and does do evening meals.

About 3 miles from Yarm. No staff at address so had get key from a lock safe. Room was too hot on arrival. Difficult to get cooler. Eventually turned off towel rail but ended up with a cold shower on day 2. Also a cracked toilet seat. Nobody about for assistance. Also on arrival toilet had not been flushed with both types evident to flush away. This was a shame as room was spotless and nicely decorated. Loud noises from room above so not a good nights sleep unfortunately.

Hosts decided to have a party. They said we were invited, so said hello as not to be rude, but music didn’t finish till, 01.30. People didn’t leave till 2.00. Then family was up taking till 03.30. Only 30m away from our room. Had been to work that day and had been up since 6.00. Was hoping for a nice relaxed stay with hot tub. Hot tub was nice on the night. Decided to go in the hot tub again before we checked out, but it had gone cold showing error. Reception only open 3-7, and they choose not to answer the phone any time before or after, so pointless.

Nice room but don’t rely on charging your car here
The Tool Shed room was nice and very clean. Check in was easy. Had booked this place because it advertises a charger for electric cars and I was travelling in my EV from Manchester so needed to charge. I called the day before to check the chargers toe to make sure it was compatible and received a photo of the charger. All good so far. Unfortunately when we arrived and saw where the charger was there was a large caravan next to it so was not accessible unless you had a 10m cable - standard 5 or 6m cables will not reach. After checking with the the guy when we checked in it looks like this caravan is permanently there. Only other problem we had was that the hot water ran out after about 10 seconds so had to have cold showers. Location is good and the pub About 50m away is really nice.

The Old Mill is extremely picturesque, looks amazing and the hosts are great too! Rooms were a decent size and very clean. We booked to stay here as we were visiting Teesside Autodrome the next day. Not far from the track at all! Overall brilliant place to stay and I'll be staying here in the future when I'm visiting Teesside again.

For the love of god, don’t stay here
I stayed in room 5. There was zero WiFi signal even though the hotel specially states that there’s free wifi. If you have to leave your room to get WiFi signal, your hotel DOES NOT have wifi and you shouldn’t advertise as having it. The best was chronic back pain inducing. Old, thin mattresses. The stairs to the room were also similar to that of an Escher painting. I have enclosed a picture. If you’re wondering, my camera was straight when taking the pic.
