There are a few cabins on the property, but very private and not all too close to each other. It was very quiet and easy to get to more urban areas if you choose. "It was perfect for staying close to Selkirk College as I was in town to visit my son with his Granny. Nice to have two bedrooms. The downside was that we brought e-bikes and were not allowed to store them inside the garage due to the owner's dog occupying it. Expensive bikes stayed out in the rain overnight with electronics getting wet. The owner was on site but never greeted us or offered a solution to the bike storage. No cable TV. I did figure out from the notes left by the host how to...

"Lovely place. Comfortable, homey and so many extras! We were so busy with all the wedding activity, but we did take a little time for our morning coffee, watching wild turkeys on the lawn. Highly reccommend the Bears Den. Thank you watchingbthe wild turkeys. "

"A unique vintage residence to stay at near Nelson BC. Spacious - we liked that bedrooms were on the corners of the house to give some privacy. 2.5 bathrooms were handy as well. "The Alpine Inn makes traveling with pets really easy by providing plenty of outdoor green space to walk them which we really appreciated. The motel itself is older and so while it’s clearly well taken care of there remain a few areas that need a little sprucing up but despite that, it oozes charm. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Great location being within less than a 5 mile drive from everything. We’ll stay again next time we’re in Nelson. "

"Great budget hotel! Although the building is older it is well maintained. Could hear some sounds outside of the window but the street quieted right down at night and with the fan running and earplugs no problem! Could hear some people on the stairs a bit but again quiet at night."

"This was my second time staying at the Hume. I love this historic property. Everything is so well preserved, even the historic elevator! The bathroom in my room was meticulously done with historic character. The breakfast at the restaurant was lovely, and the service exceptional. All staff I spoke with were friendly and helpful. I will definitely visit again, hopefully soon!"
