We stayed off away from the main build; our room was nice, nothing fancy, but comfortable; fan was provided. The main building is definitely the star of the show. I was surprised to find no lift; due to one of the reasons for choosing this hotel was because it mentioned there was a lift, not a deal breaker though. The restaurant on site was wonderful and accommodating. We enjoyed trying out the different steam rooms, swimming and relaxing in the hot tub. Note: The entrance was a little tough to spot; driving in the dark

A nice country hotel with great staff and a fabulous Spa / Pool. The Restaurant was nice with healthy portions and a good selection of wines and ales. Room service reflected the good choice and quality of food. The pool and spa area were excellent (adults-only which was handy during the half-term holidays) Sadly our room was in need of some TLC, several cracked floor tiles in the bathroom, exceedingly dim lighting, an unnecessarily cramped layout to the bathroom, paper thin walls (the neighbours literally kept us awake all night with their energetic conversation. this was our fourth stay at The Parsonage and most likely our last.

The staff made our break. Very polite, informative and willing to help . We were impressed with our rooms and facilities but the windows were not clean and the handles loose or broken . The staircase was in need of a hoover. Breakfast was ok , but cooked breakfast was barely warm and cold once you had sat down . The coffee flavour was really awful. The Spa was very clean but please buy new. Lounge's. They are very uncomfortable and for the more mature guests not amenable. Also the shower handle, middle cubical of Women's changing is very awkward and stiff to turn off with wet hand . Spa treatment I had was amazing! I would of enjoyed more but I could hear conversations at the desk, so relaxing music could of been higher.

Love the fact there is a pool, jacuzzi, sauna, aromatherapy, salt and one other room. The grounds are lovely and easy parking. The staff polite. Had a problem with noise from boiler , so managemnt managed to find a slightly quieter room even though it was very busy and moved our luggage to new room when it was ready. Also i had lost my watch which they found and they posted it to myself after i had paid postage , which was received the followinv day .

Reception Staff was helpful and patient whilst dealing with a number of our party at the same time. The room in the coach house was quiet and adequate, and clean, though the bed was a bit too hard to say it was comfortable for me. Dining in the on-site pub was OK, staff courteous and helpful. Coped well with a full dining room. Breakfast in the hotel had limited choices of fresh fruit and although the hot buffet was OK the eggs had continued to cook under the heat lamps.

Hotel was nice and clean, pool and leisure facilities were good. Had 1 issue where somehow the window in the room opened between check in and returning to room. Reception adamant nobody had been in the room. I took a photo of the view from the window as I left the room, therefore showing the window was closed. Reception advised that they spoke to the manager but they did not come to me, just asked reception to report that nobody had been in. So how did the window open?

It’s hard to rate as we didn’t get to stay in the hotel,we were shipped off to above the pub, every time someone washed there hands in the pub toilets we heard it,as well as the music, but it did stop at 11 pm, but was back the day after, the shower screen has a gap between it and the bath so every time you showered it flooded the bathroom. No Wi-Fi, in the rooms above the pub, and you then have to brave the weather to go for breakfast, as it’s in the hotel On a positive note the room was clean, and the food was good for breakfast and also in the fat abbot the food was excellent ,and the staff where ward and friendly once the music stopped we slept well

The property requires the decor updating and in the room we occupied there was mould on the tiles at the base of the bath. We stayed for two nights and used the tea and coffee facilities on the first day. On the second day we were out all day and found that the tea facilities had not been replaced and no maid service had been in the room.

We arrived on sat 31st August , there was a wedding being held which was fine but as we wanted a drink in the bar before our meal it felt like we were in the way , no lemonade for a mixer had to find some and no ice as they had ran out! Half way through our warm drink a young waiter appeared and asked have you done with those, I think he meant the glasses but still half full, as we payed to stay in a 4 star hotel I would have expect a better standard, the hotel looks very tired around the edges , bath panel rotten, wall paper stained and ripped, the pool area was rusty on the steelwork and carpets with faded tape covering holes. So all in all not impressed and wouldn’t recommend find a proper 4 star hotel instead.

Lovely setting in a old manor property. Full use of spa facilities upgrades to an average experience the otherwise lackluster things. No toiletries other than small bar of soap. Went to ask for more and they could not find any. Bath tub was very dirty upon arrival along with dust and cobwebs throughout room. Room very hot despite a cool day outside and desk fan on througout. Service was slow in the breakfast (buffet style but had to flag a server for coffee despite being there quite a while. Observed others in same situarion) and dining room.
