Fabulous! Tony & Diana - who run the property - were delightful and incredibly helpful. Rooms are beautifully decorated and, for once, are the same size in real life as they are in the publicity photos! Very handy location: our car remained in the parking area right in front of the hotel for the duration of our stay and we walked into town every day. Breakfast is included. There is a great choice and it is all cooked to perfection. Would recommend without the slightest hesitation.

Great place in York
The property is quirky and it shows that the owners have taken great care to chose every item in the decoration. It has lots of personality and it’s friendly and quiet. We had a lovely stay. The owners cook breakfast for the guests every morning, we were very impressed. The hotel uses an app where you can choose your breakfast options, and there is a lot of information in it. Our stay was very swift.

We had a lovely stay in the Tower Guest House. The room was very clean and well appointed. Our hosts, Diana and Tony, were very gracious and helpful with sharing dining options and sights to see. It was also very convenient to order our breakfast using their app and the food came out hot and delicious. I very highly recommend staying at the Tower Guest House. A piece of tranquility.
Fabulous hosts Tony and Diana made us feel very welcome. Loved Room 2, Samurai chosen for the sunken bath and furnishings. Appreciated the little touches like fresh milk and a small bar of Kit kat with 2 soft drinks complementary in the mini fridge. Everything was spotless and we also enjoyed our breakfasts. Would happily stay there again.

Second time staying in Tower House. Lovely spacious room (French Rococos) individually styled. Tony & Diana are subtle hosts only being seen at breakfast but always about if you do need anything. Breakfast is fresh and cooked to perfection. Well located with a short walk in to the city of York. Parking available at front of house but tight. Highly recommended

Short mid-week stay to take in the city of York and surrounding areas. The guest house was immaculate and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The guest house was well positioned within one mile walking distance into the city centre. There are a variety of breakfasts on offer, but the full English breakfast was superb. Ordering of breakfasts and mealtimes, temperature control of room and other facilities were all available through the Tower Guest House app.

Comfortable, good breakfast & free parking nr city
We stayed in room 6 on the 2nd floor. V large, comfortable king bed; quiet fridge; tv with lots of choice. Despite being next to York hospital we found it quiet with windows almost shut. Breakfast choice was great & tasty. They have an app which you use to pre-book breakfast sitting & choices. Daily room cleaning before 1pm if you want - use the app to show when out. Free parking 15-20 min walk from York Minster a big bonus & owners permitted me to park there final day after check out once bookings for that night finalised but had offered a permit ticket for small charge to park on neighbouring streets if their own car park was going to be full. Only slight negatives were need to be careful not to bang head on slanting roof in places, particularly bathroom - we are 5'7/5'8 but you soon learn - and shower is in corner of bathroom with no screen so floor gets wet to varying degrees depending on how much you like to splash about! We would certainly want to book again if we are in York
