"Lovely hotel in a great location for York racecourse and a short taxi ride into the city centre (or 30 min walk). Rooms are very well appointed although the bathroom could be upgraded with dual flush toilet etc. Bed was very comfortable and noise was at a minimum. Staff are helpful and friendly. We like that the pool was open till 11pm"

"A very welcoming hotel with lots of nice touches in the decor. The staff are friendly and helpful. Great quality breakfast with a choice of coffees. We found the location convenient for all the places we wanted to visit, including sections of the walls. Plenty of places to eat nearby."

"The property is close to the train station and walkable to all the sites. Our room was modern, clean, and quiet. The staff were friendly as well. Breakfast was okay, but would have been even better if there were more vegan options like yogurt and porridge. We would definitely stay here again. "
