"We were excited about booking this property when reading the posting. When we arrived later in the evening we found the only way to the front door was crossing a rickety, rotted out deck with nails sticking up all over. "Der Wohnwagen steht auf dem Gelände einer Jugendsegelschule. Er ist geschmackvoll ausgestattet. Allerdings ohne Kochgelegenheit, ausser einem Wasserkocher. Die Größe ist max. Für 2.5 Personen angenehm. 20 m entfernt ist ein Badesteg, an dem noch weitere Wohnwagen stehen. Unweit ist auch ein Sperrmüllplatz vom Jugendlager. "Very sweet location near a town gate. Cozy inside. Perfect base to explore from. We could sit in the living area with a couple friends who were staying in a hotel nearby. Only possible drawback is a pub next door that can remain lively into the night. But the home itself is clean and has nice exposed brick and rafters upstairs. "

We have explored the lake on the motor boat which was an exiting experience, not only for the children. "We stayed in the island lodge. The lodge itself is very nice, only downpoint of the actual lodge is lack of storage space in the kitchen. My biggest complaints about this place were 1. When making the booking it NEVER mentioned that the only way to access your lodge is via a small rowing boat. I kid you not. "A lovely house and garden with stream at the end. The river is close by, and was idyllic to paddle board / kayak on and has a well used cycle route alone it. The tennis court, almost next to the house, was always available. Location is rural but it is easy to get to Amsterdam and lots of other places. Caroline was quick to respond to messages. "The pods are very clean and tidy, nicely secluded within the forest, the whole site is well maintained with good facilities. The coffee and takeaway area was lovely to sit at near the pool, meals in the restaurant were also very good.
