What you can expect

Explore the grand history of Seoul with a personal guide on a 2-day tour through the iconic sights of the Joseon Dynasty. Watch the changing of the guard at Gyeongbok Palace, browse the wares in traditional markets, and spend the night in a classic hanok village for a sense of medieval Korean life.

Day 1: Gyeongbok Palace, National Folk Museum & Bukchon Hanok Village After you meet your guide, get a look the Blue House, South Korea's presidential residence, on your way to the exhibition of Cheongwadae Sarangchae. Here, you get an introduction to Korea and the UNESCO World Heritage sites throughout the country.

Next, visit Gyeongbok Palace, where you can see the Royal Guard-Changing Ceremony. From there, your guide takes you to the National Folk Museum, filled with exhibits showing how Korean ancestors lived, and then to Bukchon Hanok Village where you check into your hotel for the evening.

Day 2: Changdeok Palace, Insa-dong Alley & Namdaemun Market In the morning, see the favourite home of many Joseon Dynasty kings with a visit to Changdeok Palace. Its well-preserved features and garden, the only one of its kind in a Korean palace complex.

Your next visit is to Insa-dong Alley where a host of traditional goods are on display. Check out the galleries, traditional restaurants,teahouses, and cafes before you head to Namdaemun Market. Wrap up your tour by exploring this 600-year-old market, plus the Ginseng or Amethyst Centre, before you head back to your hotel.
