Joining in this 2-day trekking and caving tour, you will be taken across from the 1500 m high ridge of Vang Vieng to distant places that are even less known by the locals. The charm of the Limestone Mountains should be visited to be believed.
Day 1: Vang Vieng - Pathao - Phathang
You will depart from your hotel in Vang Vieng and transfer 12km north to Phathao where you begin the trek. You will start by climbing the steep mountains to take you to some magnificent panoramic views! The Tham Hok Cave which contains some of the most impressive stalactites and stalagmites to be found in Vang Vieng and lies near the top of the ridge is a place where you can spend time exploring. After that, you will begin the descent down the far side of the mountain to reach the 'Secret Eden'! Here you will take the time to go swimming before returning to Vang Vieng.
The final leg of the loop will pass through an exceptional Palm forest before taking you to Viengsamay Eco Lodge where you will spend the night.

Day 2: Pathang - Tham None - Vang Vieng
After having breakfast, you will be taken to the starting point of kayaking on the Nam Song River by Songthaew taxi. For almost everyone, the river offers exciting but manageable sections of rapids! However, if anyone meets any difficulties, an experienced guide will help you. Along the way, there is a stop at Tham None caves, which are filled with water and accessible by swimming! Paddling the last leg will take you back to Vang Vieng just in time to admire the magnificent sunset.

Approximately: 4.5 hours kayaking, 1.5 hours caving/walking (wet season)
In the wet season: For the second day: due to the high currents, we will start from Pathang village instead, which is 8 km further than Vieng Samay village. Lunch will be served at Vieng Samay village. Two caves will be visited, Tham Xang (Elephant Cave), and Tham Non (Sleeping Cave), as well as the Organic Farm.
