Visiting this Magical Town is a unique experience as it is the entrance to the Sierra Gorda of Queretaro; it is a municipality with great geographic diversity: it has a semi-desert climate in the south and forests in the north. In 2011 it was named a Magical Town thanks to its history and its magic inherited from the native peoples of the region, as well as for its diverse tourist attractions.

The Cadereyta Regional Botanical Garden was founded on April 25, 1991. It belongs to the Education Secretariat of the Government of the State of Querétaro and is attached to the Science and Technology Council of the State of Querétaro. Since 1952, the site occupied by the Botanical Garden has been relevant for research, since at that time a nursery was installed where Yucca filifera and Yucca valida were planted, on five hectares. Later, the property returned to being a simple pasture until 1990. Today, it is dedicated to the study, conservation and use of Mexican flora; particularly, that of the Querétaro semi-desert.

It is a Magical Town full of colours and life where you can spend a weekend with your family enjoying the tranquility and good weather it offers while enjoying local cuisine and crafts. In this town you will find one of the most important tourist attractions in Querétaro, the Peña de Bernal.

Tequisquiapan, one of the six Magical Towns of Querétaro, is characterised by its tranquility and its good climate throughout the year. In its surroundings there are several spas and hot springs perfect for cooling off on summer holidays or on a weekend getaway. The streets of the town are colourful and in them you can appreciate the daily life of the province.
