What you can expect

Discover an array of Iceland's most breathtaking sights with 6 days spent immersed in its awe-inspiring landscapes. Venture to majestic glaciers, thundering waterfalls, black-sand beaches, and quaint fishing villages as you explore the island with a small group.

Day 1: Golden Circle, South Coast and Kirkjubæjarklaustur. After pickup in Reykjavik, spend the day exploring the famous Golden Circle. Visit the UNESCO-listed Thingvellir National Park, witness the spouting Strikkur hot spring, and see the golden spray rising from the mighty Gullfoss Waterfall. Stop at the Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss waterfalls and Reynisfjara on the way to the village of Kirkjubæjarklaustur, where you spend the night at a country hotel.

Day 2: Skaftafell, Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, Hofn Area. Start the day by driving to Skaftafell for a guided hike on Vatnajokull, Europe's largest glacier. In the afternoon, discover the stunning ice floes and black-sand shores of Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon. Stay overnight in a guesthouse in southeast Iceland.

Day 3: East Fjords, Djupivogur, and Egilsstadir Spend the day winding your way along the narrow roads of Iceland's East Fjords. Stop at the fishing village of Djupivogur and take an invigorating hike to the Hengifoss and Litlanesfoss waterfalls. To cap off the day, we'll unwind at a Wilderness Centre 40 minutes from Egilsstadir. Here, you can delve into Icelandic wilderness life at the on-site museum, then soothe your muscles with a soak in their free hot pots—the perfect way to end a day of adventure!

Day 4: Studlagil, Myvatn, Godafoss, and Akureyri Studlagil, Iceland, is a dramatic canyon with towering basalt columns lining a turquoise glacial river. We also visit the Mývatn Nature Baths, a renowned geothermal spa known for its milky-turquoise waters (optional extra). Afterwards, spend some time exploring the mystical landscapes around the lake at Myvatn. The wide and dreamy crescent-shaped waterfall, Godafoss, is the last stop of the day before we journey to Eyjafjordur, an outstandingly beautiful fjord with high mountains. You'll be spending a night in Akureyri.

Day 5: Dalvík, Siglufjordur, Trollaskagi, Laugarbakki During the fifth day of the tour you'll be visiting the fishing town of Dalvík where you'll board a boat for a whale-watching tour. When we step ashore, we drive to Siglufjordur, a charming fishing village, then to Trollaskagi (the Troll Peninsula).
