Activity itinerary

Amazon River (Pass by)
Day 1 We depart from your hotel or the airport around 8.30am. We begin our tour by driving in a private vehicle for 1.40 minutes to the city of Nauta. From Nauta we take a typical motor boat that arrives at our camp in approximately 2 hours 30 minutes. We navigate the 2 main rivers of the Amazon, which are the “Marañon River” and the “Ucayali River”. The camp is located on the Yarapa River, in a protected area (communal reserve). After lunch, we began our first excursion. By boat, we will observe the river dolphins. In the Amazon we have the opportunity to observe two species of river dolphins, the pink and the grey. After dinner we will have a night excursion in the jungle. We look for nocturnal creatures such as snakes, frogs, spiders, tarantulas and more.

Day 2 We started our day with an early excursion around 5 in the morning. At this time, we can enjoy the beautiful sunrise and observe colourful birds and monkeys. After returning to the camp, we have a delicious(Continental breakfast) After this first meal of the day, it will be time to take a boat trip to reach our first camping area, Our second excursion on day two will be a jungle walk. By walking in the primary forest, you not only have the opportunity to observe wildlife, your guide will also share his knowledge about the large number of medicinal plants. Plus, you'll learn some basic jungle survival skills, like finding food and water or building shelter. In the afternoon we have a boat or canoe excursion upstream of the Cumaceba River, in search of sloth bears, macaws, different types of monkeys, etc. We will also pass by two beautiful lakes. Throughout the trip, you will be surrounded by incredible nature In the evening we have a night boat excursion to look for alligators

Day 3 Canoeing in the early hours of the morning to be able to observe some species of birds, those that can only be found when inside the jungle and away from any native community. Walk around a lagoon to have the opportunity to look for tracks or the physical presence of some species of animals such as sajinos (jungle pigs), capybaras. Day 4 After breakfast, we will visit a lake, where we can find the famous giant water lilies. As the last highlight of our 4 days and 3 nights tour, we are going to fish for some piranhas, the most dangerous fish in the Amazon River. If we are lucky enough to catch one, there is the possibility of trying it for lunch. After lunch and to return to Iquitos city, we take the boat to Nauta city . At Nauta city we change to a car that arrives around 5 p.m. to Iquitos city where we leave you in the airport or hotel.
