What you can expect

Learn how to prepare and cook a traditional Balinese authentic meal during a fun and interactive 4-hour cooking class in a traditional Balinese home. Discover all the authentic smells and flavours of Balinese food as you awaken your culinary creativity, visit a local market, and enjoy lots of tasty Balinese food along the way.

Each hands-on class consists of 5-6 delicious recipes, prepared in a fully-equipped workspace. Get expert tuition from a patient and experienced chef. Courses are available in the morning or afternoon, each including 2 breaks to sample fresh Bali tropical fruit and Loloh Cem Cem one of the famous homemade health herbal drinks.

Whether you choose the morning or afternoon tour, you will be taken to explore a local market to select the best quality ingredients. Head back to the cooking school for a welcome drink and cookery demonstration. The instructor will prepare the dishes, while you observe.

Then it’s time to move to the stoves and get cooking. Create your dishes, with lots of assistance and tips to ensure that your Balinese cuisine is just as it should be. Next, move to the dining area and enjoy the dishes you prepared in an informal atmosphere.

  • Lawar Bali (Mixture of Vegetables, Coconut, Meat, Herbs and Spices)
  • Mie Goreng (Fried Noodle)
  • Kolak Pisang (Braised banana saba in palm sugar gravy)

Vegetarian Menu:

  • Pepes Tempeh (Tempeh Cooked in Banana Leafs with Herbs and Spices)

  • Kolak Pisang (Braised banana saba in palm sugar gravy)
