The tour starts at 8:00 AM from your accommodation in Belgrade. A pleasant 2-hour drive will take you to the first stop, Golubac Fortress, located at the entrance of the Djerdap Gorge where the Danube is at its widest and nature is at its greenest. It was built at the beginning of the 14th century as a border stronghold of strategic importance. Hat Tower, formerly used as a pier of the Fortress, nowadays is the main symbol and trademark of Golubac Fort.
Lepenski Vir - an archaeological site located 30 minutes drive from Golubac, one of the oldest urban settlements in the whole of Europe, populated 8000 years ago is next on your route.
Tour continues with a 45 minutes scenic drive through the picturesque Djerdap Gorge with short stops on the way for taking memorable pictures. Your speedboat tour will start from Tekija and will last for one hour. While on your fun-filled speed boat tour along the most beautiful part of the Danube river, see the remains dating back to Romans, such as Trajan's Plaque (Tabula Traiana) - a memorial dedicated to Roman Emperor Trajan. This unique monument can be seen only from boats (water). On your adventurous boat tour, see the Mrakonija Monastery, Balloon Stations Pena and Varnica, and Stone Statue of Decebal Rex, the last king of Dacia, which represents the tallest rock sculpture (40 metres) in the whole of Europe.
When your boat adventure is finished, proceed to the city of Donji Milanovac, where a break for lunch will be made and you will have the great opportunity to try local specialities.
Return to Belgrade in the early evening hours, drop-off at your accommodation.
