What you can expect

Following a morning pick-up from your hotel at 08:00, travel by air-conditioned vehicle to Tegenungan Waterfall. Admire the lush green surroundings and enjoy the refreshing spray from the waterfall. Take a swim if you wish.

Next, arrive in the village of Kemenuh at 10:30 and discover some of Bali's finest woodcarvers. Influenced by Hindu religions, the talented artists work on creative designs in woods, such as ebony, hibiscus and teak. Learn about their craft techniques.

Then, go to Elephant Cave, also known as Goa Gajah. See the 7-meter tall cave built on the cliff. Admire the entrance figure of a Balinese holistic animal known as “Boma.” Look at the beautiful Hindu temples and surrounding plantations and see some of the cave's artefacts. Enjoy lunch (own expense) at approximately 12:00.

Continue after lunch to the Tirta Empul Temple at Tampaksiring. Experience the holy atmosphere of the site. Admire the great Balinese architecture around the temples before a transfer to Ceking Rice Terrace in the village of Tegalalang. See how the rice field has been beautifully designed using plantation and coconut trees as ornaments. Take a pleasant walk around the rice field if you wish, before the return to your hotel at around 16:00.

Overall if was okayish, but what I do not appreciate the most is that trip is already quite expensive (you can see all the spots really way cheaper), and they are still trying to scam you extra by taking you to pure tourist traps places: e.g. coffee plantation (absolute joke with only focus on you to buy something in their store, and all the coffee-related stuff feels so fake, I doubt that’s a real planarian). Also be careful with lunch spot recommended by the driver - another trap, better to choose restaurant on your own and ask them to go there. I don’t understand why this trip is so well positioned by GYG - after all I read another reviews and see many similiar experiences. I regret that I didn’t check them before. First time I really feel like I wasted money by booking trip here, so would not reccommend it..

We had a great day exploring Ubud with our guide Made Sucita! He very punctual, was very knowledgeable about the places we went to and was just really kind and friendly! A great round trip starting out from Ubud and we ended in Sanur. Very communicative and flexible company and driver for the day. Our driver, Made Sucita, was a local Balinese from the Tegallalang area with a good insight into the Balinese culture and traditions. This gave us valuable insight into the authentic Balinese life as he was sharing his history and way of living.

What a great day with our driver Nyoman! Such a good driver and so much knowledge about the places we visited plus everything about the island, the Hindu religion, life on Bali and the villages we went through. Would 100% recommend this and if you get Nyoman as your driver you’ll have an amazing day.

Very nice trip. We want with Made Sucita. He was ready to pick us up early, took us to a few extra places because the weather was poor. Very friendly, and helped us buy some local stuff we wanted. Very good experience
