Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza, and Monterosso are the charming villages of Cinque Terre, hidden gems recognised as UNESCO World Heritage sites. These treasures have been nestled among steep mountains and the sparkling Mediterranean Sea for centuries. Our journey starts in a comfortable bus with our local expert tour escort. Our first stop will be the enchanting village of Riomaggiore or Manarola*, where colourful houses, churches, and quaint shops cling to the cliffs overlooking the sea.

Next, we'll explore Vernazza, known as one of the most captivating villages in Cinque Terre. Our tour escort will lead us through narrow alleys and lovely squares to the harbour, where we'll hop on a boat. From there, we'll be treated to a breathtaking view of the coastline. Afterwards, we'll head to Monterosso, famous for its beautiful beach and hills sloping gently towards rocky coves. Here, a cosy restaurant awaits us for a delicious lunch featuring local specialities (if selected in the option). You'll also have plenty of free time to take a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean or browse the intriguing workshops of local artisans. The trip was cancelled due to traffic issue on the date - the road was blocked entirely due to a bad accident on the road. Even though, on the bus for 5-6 hrs - traffic jam all the way to the northern side of Florence, we were back to our starting city Florence in the afternoon. Our family -of three - were a little disappointed as our travel schedule not allowed us to rebook the day tour in later day. However, when we contacted Expedia’s team that night reporting the incidence, Expedia team had worked wonderfully with the tour service company in Italy provided us a full refund for the cancelled trip. Thank you so much Expedia team and Italy tour company. Much appreciated for the full refund of the trip. Would rebook the day trip in our future trip to Italy again.

This tour was NOT a tour I recommend, it’s a lot of hop on and off subway trains and a fairy and at a Very Very fast paced tour and if you are late even 1 min the tour guide Sandro did not wait for anyone and on the bus he (Sandro) did not explain anything to us of what we’re seeing from place to place !!! Definitely do not recommend it for small children or elderly with any type of disability !!
