Overview

The tour is within the City of Oaxaca, highlighting emblematic, artistic and historical places, learning more about the social importance that surrounds this place developed under pre-Hispanic and contemporary cultures, covering more space in less time while we ride the bicycle, experiencing the city of Oaxaca in a fun and friendly way, with a little exercise that will be good for our health!

It is an excellent way to get to know the City, combining physical exercise and fun during the morning or afternoon, without a doubt we try to increase the use of bicycles in this city to have a healthy lifestyle while having fun, socialising and getting to know places only ones where we cannot regularly see with the car.

You will be guided by a local guide with realistic perspectives on art, history and the environment.

Let's enjoy the tour! …I give you the bikes, helmets, guide and assistance along the way!

Activity itinerary

Oaxaca
  • 30m
We will visit the most representative places of the City of Oaxaca by bicycle, in the picturesque streets of street art that this beautiful city offers, we will locate places of local preference and we will combine the tour with a lot of art and history! We will make multiple breaks to observe art and take photographs in the oldest areas of the City, Jalatlaco and Xochimilco, with alleys decorated by Oaxacan artists and emblematic architecture of Oaxaca.
Templo de San Matias Jalatlaco
  • 20m
Located in one of the most popular areas of the City of Oaxaca, the Jalatlaco area, with its unique architecture within the area known for its colourful murals that evoke the Day of the Dead festivities and known for its traditional "comparsas", today it is a tourist and cultural reference that we will undoubtedly not miss to be able to take beautiful photographs and learn more about the urban planning and celebrations of Oaxaca!
Los Arquitos De Xochimilco
  • 20m
With its colourful streets and old houses, the Xochimilco area stands out for being one of the oldest areas in this city founded in 1486 by Xochimilca - Aztec warriors where we will see old pre-colonial buildings. Right here are the arches of Xochimilco of colonial construction that were part of the San Felipe aqueduct built in the mid-eighteenth century to supply water to the population. A must-see when visiting Oaxaca!
Cerro del Fortin
  • 30m
Depending on the physical condition of the group, we will be able to see the City from the viewpoint located on the highest hill near the centre where we will have unique panoramic views of the city, excellent for photographs and sunsets! We will pass by the Oaxaca crafts house and the house of one of the most emblematic characters of Mexico, the former president and Oaxacan Don Benito Juárez García!
Templo de Santo Domingo de Guzman
  • 20m
We will visit one of the most beautiful churches in all of Latin America, the Temple of Santo Domingo de Guzmán! Today it is a cultural centre made up of the Ex-convent, the Museum of the Cultures of Oaxaca, the Ethnobotanical Garden, the Burgoa Library and the Public Newspaper Archive. This great enclosure had many uses throughout its history since the beginning of its construction in 1570. It really reflects much of the history of the Oaxacan population! We will observe the New Spain baroque architecture of the beautiful Temple of Santo Domingo de Guzmán, Cultural Heritage of Humanity and with luck we will see a "calenda" or "wedding" in the streets of the city, since the party never ends here!
