What you can expect

After gathering at either of the meeting points or being collected from your accommodation, your combination experience in Bogota will begin.

First visit the Guatavita Lagoon, which was a source of inspiration for the Legend of El Dorado and the film with the same name. The beauty of this place is sure to overwhelm you, and after some time there cross the savannah.
In the afternoon, reach the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá, which was the First Wonder of Colombia due to its imposing architecture.

In a single day, enjoy the indigenous spiritual cosmogony, Christian spirituality, the beauty of nature, and the grandeur of the architecture. At the end of your experience, you will be returned back to your point of origin.

We like the salt cathedral, we think it’s cool! We hope the tour could arrange the itinerary better. It took almost an hour wait in the morning meeting point before the tour began. After arriving Gustavia, the local park’s guide took over. She only conducted in Spanish & the lecture about local ecosystem seemed ongoing forever. The hiking to Gustavia took too long to finish. After lunch, it’s almost 4PM before we started to travel to Salt Cathedral. In there, we’re on our own with an audio guide. The overall experience was below our expectation.

Fantastic trip! Sebastian was a super friendly and helpful guide. He always made sure we were doing well and having a good time, and even gave us encouragement to make it up the stairs to Guatavita Lagoon. He also translated the guided tour at the lagoon for those of us with poor Spanish skills. We had plenty of time to explore both sites

The trip was interesting and our guide sebastian was excellent ✨ only slight downfall is the transport as the bus is really old but honestly shouldn‘t be a problem, it was just really bumpy.

Quite a long day. 13hrs No English speaking guide at Giatavita but Diago did a great job. Lunch was really tasty and good value Salt cathedral was different! But still have to admire the workmanship.

It was an amazing trip. Our guide Sergio explained us everything really well and with a lot of passion. The lake with the history is very interesting and the view breathtaking. The salt cathedral is very unique and I’m really impressed. I met super nice people on this tour. Overall a perfect day. I’m happy that I did this tour.

It was a perfect entry point for a new-comer to Columbia! Not only have I learned a lot, I was also able to connect emotionally to the country, it’s people and it’s amazing heritage.
