What you can expect

Discover the secret to Castlemaine Four X on a 1.5-hour tour of the brand’s famous brewery in Brisbane, and travel through more than a century of beer brewing history.

The tour covers all aspects of the iconic brand, from how it got its name to how it is made. You will even get to see what it tastes like when poured fresh at the brewrey! Learn the origins of beer and brewing, and how to pour a perfect glass for yourself.

Start in the Four X Brewery Visitor Centre, and then walk through the heart of the heritage listed site. Discover what raw ingredients are needed for the brewing process, before tasting a couple of fresh beers in the Brewery Restaurant to end your tour.

Unfortunately, one member of the Group experienced a medical episode & with the help of Zac ( Tour leader) & Grant McIntyre ( First Aid ) she was assisted to the reception lounge area :: an ambulance was called :: 3 Members did miss out on the final stage of the tour & the beer tasting:: The Brewery manager did call the following day to enquire about the member’s health .. a kind gesture:: Recommendations for future tours … Seats / chairs be available in the explanatory sections of the tour. Water stations. Pedestal Fans. Overall, a very interesting tour that explained the “ Mysteries “ behind those brick walls that front Milton Road, and the various Beer Brands that are brewed.
