What you can expect

Join certified guide Jeff Zimmerman and experience Charleston like a local as he takes you to the city's most beloved landmarks. On this three hour private driving tour you'll discover all the things that make Charleston special. Join Jeff as you learn about the city's rich history, diverse culture, stately architecture, and picturesque natural world.

The tour includes stopping at Joe Riley Waterfront Park where you'll get breathtaking panoramic views of Charleston harbour, including views of the Ravenel Bridge and Yorktown aircraft carrier. Here, you'll also visit the famous pineapple water fountain. Your tour also includes a visit the French Quarter where you pass by the historic Dock Street Theatre. The Dock Street Theatre was the first building in America built exclusively to be used for theatrical performances.

The tour also includes going south of Broad Street and a stop at the historic Battery or what locals like to say “Where the Ashley and Cooper Rivers meet to form the Atlantic Ocean.” Here you will see some of the most beautiful mansions in the south and get unobstructed views of the harbour, including Fort Sumter.

See Rainbow Row, Charleston's most photographed landmark. These charming terrace houses along the waterfront are the longest continuous cluster of Georgian terrace houses in America and are a spectacular site to see. Here you'll learn about the birthplace of preservation and will have opportunities to take your own photos.

See historic Broad Street and pass by the Four Corners of Law, which includes the City Hall, St. Michaels Church, the County Court House, and the historic United States Post Office. Also on Broad Street, you will see the John Rutledge House, the Edward Rutledge House, and the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist.

See and learn about Charleston many museums, including the Charleston Museum, America's oldest museum. You will also see and learn about the Aiken-Rhett House, the Nathaniel Russell House, the Heyward-Washington House, and the Joseph Manigault House.

See the College of Charleston. The College of Charleston is the oldest institution of higher learning in South Carolina and is one of the most beautiful campuses in America. Your tour also includes a visit to the Citadel, one of six senior military colleges in the United States.
