Mangwon Market has more locals than the tourist-heavy Gwangjang Market, and as a homemaker, it’s where I shop daily. You’ll get to experience shopping at my favourite go-to stores in the market. You’ll learn how to prepare three iconic Korean dishes: Bulgogi (marinated beef), a favourite home-cooked meal, Gyeran-jjim (steamed egg), light and fluffy comfort food, Kimbap, the ultimate Korean picnic snack! Our class is designed for everyone—whether you’re a seasoned cook or have never stepped into a kitchen before. Together, we’ll create a delicious Korean-style home meal with bulgogi and gyeran-jjim, and then roll up some kimbap. For the perfect cultural experience, we recommend taking any leftover kimbap and heading to the nearby Han River. Like true Koreans, spread out a mat, relax, and enjoy your picnic in the sun! All you need is an appetite and a sense of adventure. Come hungry, and leave with delicious memories and a taste of Korean culture. Join us!
