A comfortable, air-conditioned van whisks you away from your hotel to the lush green Parque Lage. Embark on a fairly advanced hike and ascend 2,330 feet (710 m) to the top of Corcovado mountain, where you gain breathtaking views of one of Brazil's most famous landmarks. Along the way, marvel at Tijuca Forest National Park's century-old palm trees, cascading waterfalls, and large variety of exotic birds.

After a brisk 2.5-hour hike, savour rewarding views of the 125-foot (38-m) tall Christ the Redeemer statue and listen as your guide tells of the statue's unique history, architecture, and 9-year building process. After snapping unparalleled pictures of the monument, relax on your air-conditioned van ride back to the base of the mountain.
