What you can expect

This is an introductory excursion to the history, culture, gastronomy and tradition of authentic Crete.

Travelling with comfort and privacy, with our luxury mini vans, through small picturesque villages in the countryside, you will taste local wine varieties and traditional delicacies, and you will learn about the traditional Minoan art of pottery.

The tour starts, by visiting the Knossos Palace : the ceremonial and political centre of the Minoan Civilisation during the Bronze Age. There you will explore the stunning palace, built for King Minos and considered the oldest city in Europe and the birthplace of Western Civilisation.

Leaving Knossos we will head out of town along the scenic country road, heading South with destination the traditional village of Archanes .

Archanes is one of Crete’s most beautiful and historical villages, surrounded by olive groves and vineyards. There in a workshop, you will taste handmade products which were prepared by pure raw materials and pure virgin olive oil.
Our journey continues with destination the metropolitan centre of pottery in Crete, the village of Thrapsano. The residents of the village are considered worthy successors of Minoan pottery, with the jars being the most typical example of their art.
During our visit to a pottery workshop, you will be learn about the pottery art, its history and its secrets

Then we will visit one great Winerie which where you will be guided in the facilities and will have the chance to taste the local wines they produce.
In picturesque scenery, you will taste a traditional homemade Cretan meal.

In the end of this tour you will be driven back to your location full of nice memories, and with a big smile!
