What you can expect

Venture to the border of South and North Korea, where the unsettling Demilitarised Zone separates the 2 countries in a 2.5-mile-wide (4-km) swath of land lined by tanks, landmines, and electric fences. Learn about the 1978 discovery of the Third Infiltration Tunnel, view North Korea from atop the Dora Observatory, and visit Dorasan Station, which once connected both nations.

Get picked up right at your hotel in Seoul for the drive to the edge of South Korea to reach the DMZ. Begin your visit with a walk through Imjingak, a park large enough to hold 5 million people that was built to console those who lost or were unable to return to their homes after the Korean War. See the Bridge of Freedom, which spans the Imjin river and was used by repatriated soldiers returning from the north, and then climb the steps to Dora Observatory, which allows you to look as far into the mysterious terrain of North Korea as the city of Kaesong.

Learn about the history of the Third Infiltration Tunnel, which was built by North Korea as a means of attacking South Korea before being discovered in 1978. Step into the tunnel itself to see the barriers built underground to mark the Military Demarcation Line.Your final stop is Dorasan Station, which was built more than 50 years ago in anticipation of reuniting both Koreas.

As DMZ has been temporarily closed since Oct 2nd, 2019 due to African Swine Fever(ASF), some stops have been changed until Oct 31th, 2019
