What you can expect

We offer trips every weekend in July, as well as the first and last weekend of August. We first meet at our outfitting warehouse where we make sure everyone is suited with the gear that they need. We provide ALL gear and ALL food, so you just have to show up with your clothes and toiletries. Then we all hop into our van where we drive to the trailhead to get started. You will have 2 guides with you and no more than 10 guests. We will put on our ~35lb backpacks and hit the trail! After hiking 2 miles on the trail, we arrive at a pristine alpine lake. We will drop our packs, set up camp, and continue on with our daypacks if that is what the group would like to do (snacks and water is all you'll need). After we've hiked a bit more, we return to our lakeside campsite and cook dinner together. We like to provide each evening with the opportunity to stretch, journal, read, meditate, bond with fellow travellers and guides, and more. After spending a cosy evening in our tents, once everyone is awake and has been fed breakfast, we make a group plan. We will hit the trail with our day packs and hike the distance we have agreed on as a group. This could be an out-and-back ridge line hike, as well as a hike to an even higher alpine lake where we can bask in the sun, read by the water, or take a nice refreshing dip in the lake. Or, we can summit a mountain peak! Once we have returned to camp, we offer time to relax and recharge, read, be led in yoga -all of the things! We will cook and eat dinner all together and tell stories as a bonded backcountry crew. There are opportunities to go over the right gear for each person, chances to learn plant and flower identification, how to hang our food up in a tree to keep it safe from wildlife (a bear hang), and much more. The wilderness is our oyster and we love to provide any and all information that our hikers might want to learn! After night 2, in the morning we take a non-rushed approach to packing up our gear and loading our backpacks up to hit the 2 mile trail back to the van. Cold refreshments and salty snacks will be waiting for us at the van.
