What you can expect

Itinerary
We will meet at 3:30 p.m. at the Plaza Mayor. From there we will begin to learn about the history of Ayacucho. This city is characterised by its colonial houses and the vivid colours of its buildings. Let's get to know them!

In the Plaza Mayor itself we will begin the explanations, surrounded by architecture of the colonial past of the city as the houses of Baza and Solis or the spectacular baroque Cathedral. We will continue the visit in the Hipólito Unanue museum where we will discover more details about the cultures of the Peruvian past: Chimú, Moche, Wari or Inca.

We will continue walking through the streets of Ayacucho and we will stop in front of the monastery of Santa Teresa de las Carmelitas Descalzas. Did you know that Ayacucho is known as the city of churches? Open your eyes wide because you will not stop seeing temples in the city.

But if there is something that has made Ayacucho famous, it is handicrafts. While touring the area of Santa Ana, we will learn about Huamanga stone carving and loom making. To give you an unforgettable image of the city, the last stop will be at the viewpoint of Acuchimay. At 7:00 p.m. we will finish the tour in this beautiful place.
