Join a full-day wine tour in the Yarra Valley and discover some of the best wineries in Victoria, just an hour's drive from Melbourne. Stop at five venues to sample wine, chocolate and gin or beer.
After pickup from the steps of St. Paul's Cathedral, depart for Yarra Valley. Make your first stop at Soumah of Yarra Valley. Learn how the cool climate allows this winery to specialise in styles and varieties typical to northern Italy and southeastern France, such as Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Depending on the day of the week, your second stop will either be Coldstream Hills or Helen & Joey. At Helen & Joey, enjoy a guided tasting of five different wines whilst enjoying panoramic views. Indulge in their own wine in a can, which is great to travel with and for picnics.
Enter the cellar door of Coldstream Hills for tastings of their award-winning wines and sweeping views across the majestic Yarra Valley towards Mount Toolangi. Let the staff guide you through a tasting of a range of Single Vineyard and Reserve Wines.
Next up is a lunch stop at Quarters restaurant at St Hubert's. Look around their indigenous art gallery on the floor below the cellar door. If you have your own food, you can eat it on the bus, or head to the restaurant to buy a beer, wine, lunch, or even another wine tasting.
You can also get dropped off at Domaine Chandon for a glass of sparkling wine while you wait for others to finish lunch. Towards the end of the day, at your final stop, split up depending on your preference for wine, gin, beer, and chocolate.
Sit down at a table at Four Pillars Gin Distillery for a gin paddle, glass of wine, or can of beer. Alternatively, walk over to Payten and Jones for a wine tasting, or go to Matilda Bay Brewery for a beer paddle. You can also visit Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery to sample chocolates.
