Tour of Lovech – one of the oldest settled places in Bulgaria and highlight from the Bulgarian Revival Period. You will see the old town and Varosha quarter – where are located the ethnographic complex and the Vasil Levski house museum. Lovech is known as the centre of the Internal Revolutionary Organisation of the revolutionary Vasil Levski (1837 – 1873) in his struggle for liberation from Ottoman rule. The narrow cobblestone streets of Varosha and the authentic atmosphere take tourists back years. In the highest part of the old town are the remains of the Hisarya fortress . Near the fortress is the monument to Vasil Levski. The covered bridge over the Osam River is the symbol of Lovech. The bridge connects the old and new parts of the city. It was built in 1872-1874 by the Renaissance master builder Kolyu Ficheto, and today it houses numerous shops where you can buy souvenirs. Stratesh Hill is another popular place for walks in Lovech. The hill has been turned into a recreational park, and is home to the Lovech Zoo.
Krushuski Waterfalls - one of the most attractive landmarks of the country. The waterfalls are the highest travertine cascade in Bulgaria. An eco-trail with bridges and stairs has been made through the water cascade so that visitors can reach observation platforms below and above the waterfalls. Travel to Krushuna Waterfalls (2,5 hours approx.)
Devetashka Cave - bonus in your prograam for first time. It is located 18 km from Lovech. It is the largest of the 60 caves in the Devetashka Plateau region. The cascade of lakes and waterfalls inside the cave is particularly impressive.
