Day 1
We start the journey in Tirana. We continue towards the city of Permet, which is known throughout Albania for its hospitality and excellent cuisine. It is also known as the “city of roses”. The day tour of Përmet will include a relaxing visit to the hot thermal pools of Përmet. After that, you will immerse yourself in the wooden paths of the Redhit Hotova National Park, to continue visiting the Langarica canyon, the Këlcyra gorge and some points of historical and artistic interest, such as the bridges of the Ottoman period (Ura e Katit ) and Orthodox monasteries.
Day 2
After breakfast, we start our journey in Gjirokastra. Also known as “The Stone City”, part of UNESCO World heritage. The origin of the city starts with the castle of Gjirokastra, built in IV century A.D., and is considered as one of the best-preserved medieval towns in the Balkans. Right before entering the castle of Gjirokastra you would have to pass by the medieval bazar. The atmospheric old town cascading down in graceful hill crammed with beautiful narrowed stone decorated streets.
Day 3
After breakfast, where we will then leave for the city of Vlora. The city is known as the “City of the Flag”, the Independence of Albania was proclaimed here on November 28, 1912. We will visit the Flag Square and the Independence Monument. Take a walk in the Muradie area, visit Vlora's main mosque. After exploring the city, travel to “Lungomare”, a promenade by the sea. Free afternoon.
Day 4
After breakfast, In Vlora we will take the boat that will lead us to the Island and the Peninsula. During the boat trip, there will be a variety of activities available. Arrival at Karaburun Peninsula. Stop for about 3 hours to enjoy the crystal blue water. After enjoying the beach, it’s lunch time. After that we head towards the Haxhi Ali Cave, this is the Illyrian Cave. Then we head towards the island of Sazan, it is located in the centre of the Gulf of Vlora and is the largest in all of Albania. Sazan Island today is still a military base, with several active bunkers with rooms and food supplies. We return to the ship to return to the port of Vlora. Where we will enjoy the sunset on the way back to our accommodation.
Day 5
After breakfast, the last city we will visit is Berat. Is known as the town of 1001 windows, part of UNESCO world heritage. Walking through the narrowed stone streets offers a fantastic view of the medieval old houses, with windows that seem to stand on top of each other. Berat has it all, a beautiful medieval castle, ancient churches and mosques, a lively lower town consisting of grand old houses draped on steep hillsides, an old stone bridge, great museums and remains from the communist era in Albania. Berat is also known as the birthplace of Onufri, the famous painter of churches all-over the Balkans. After that, we will visit the Gorica Neighbourhood. Returning back to Tirana we will drive past Belsh lake, offering a picturesque view.
