Meet your guide at your Zagreb accommodation and drive to the lake resort of Bled, known for its medieval castle on a cliff high above the lake and the amazing Alpine peaks that surround it. Admire the castle terraces that offer spectacular views of the lake and the tiny island it’s planted on. Later on, take a break to taste a Slovenian dessert called kremšnita, a delicious vanilla custard and cream cake. After enjoying the lake’s beautiful nature we are heading to Postojna Cave, a fantastic web of tunnels, passages, galleries and halls, the astonishing diversity of Karst features as well as easy access are certainly the main reasons for such popularity of the cave and a large number of visitors, which has already reached 38 million in 200 years. Our last stop is the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana. We will start our tour in front of the Town Hall and continue through the historical city centre. Gaze at its mixture of Baroque and Art Nouveau architecture and masterful creations by the 20th century architect Jože Plečnik. Stroll around the medieval old town and visit the New and Old Markets, the Triple Bridge, and the Dragon Bridge. Conclude the tour with a funicular ride, which departs from Krekov Square and goes up to the Ljubljana Castle. Enjoy one final view of the city set along the banks of the emerald green river Ljubljanica. Have lunch (not included) at a traditional Slovenian restaurant to taste some of the exquisite local meals. We will arrive back to your accommodation in Zagreb around 9pm
