What you can expect

Following pick-up from your hotel, journey to Jandia National Park and get breathtaking views of the Jandia massif as you embark on a nature walk to the top of Pico de la Zarza, known locally as the “Donkey's Ear.”

Walk across an unspoiled landscape and pass goats and native birds. Upon arrival at the summit, take in the amazing vistas of the west coast and beaches of Cofete. Get a panoramic view of the mysterious Villa Winter, used for secret military operations and as a commission station for German submarines during World War II.

Keep a look out for the unique flora and fauna of the protected area, including plants that grow on the top of the mountain.

: This hike with Damiano was really awesome! Magnificent landscapes and Damiano teaches us several things about the places and the animals in particular. Some places are a bit "complicated" during the walk, but it's worth it once you get to the top! Thanks again !

: A wonderful experience with the view from Pico de la Zarza as the highlight. The view is spectacular. Travel guide told a lot and was patient for our rest breaks, in between. It is about 13.5 kilometers round trip over several mountains to the top. We left at 9:00 AM and returned around 5:30 PM. Only downside was we missed a rest stop with a bench to rest out of the sun. It was quite a tour, our muscle aches are proof of it, but for experienced hikers that should not be a problem. The last few hundred meters to the top were hell, but we wouldn't have wanted to miss it. Was a brilliant experience and quite possibly the highlight of our holiday. Our photos are proof of it.

: My wife enjoyed the tour very much, the view from the top of the mountain was amazing. The guide Damiano was sympathic and she lernt quite a lot from the island.
