  1. Moonstone Mine, Meetiyagoda

After the boat safari, visit the famous Moonstone Mine in Meetiyagoda.

Why it’s valuable: Meetiyagoda is known for its rare and precious moonstones. These semi-precious gems are believed to carry the blessing of the moon and come in hues ranging from grey to vibrant blue. Conclude your tour with a visit to the Handunugoda Tea Estate, where you will learn about the tea production process, from leaf to cup.
