Experience San Francisco Bay’s stunning waterfront as you pedal across the iconic Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco to Sausalito on our daily bike tour. Join our fun and knowledgeable local guides as they lead you on a memorable journey through some of the Bay Area’s most picturesque landscapes.
This tour is essentially a bike ride from Fisherman’s Wharf to Sausalito. Here you’ll leave your bike with us and enjoy some free time for lunch, a walking tour of Muir Woods and Sausalito, followed by comfortable transport back to San Francisco on a comfortable mini-coach.
The mostly flat 8-mile National Park Bike Path will take you through Fort Mason, the Marina, Crissy Field, Presidio National Park, and onto the iconic Golden Gate Bridge! Enjoy the scenic route as you pedal along, taking in the sights and sounds of the city. Once on the bridge, marvel at the stunning panoramic views of San Francisco and the bay while learning about its fascinating history from our guides.
Crossing the bridge on the bike path, you’ll then enjoy a thrilling 10-minute downhill ride, leading you right into the charming town of Sausalito. Bask in the famously wonderful weather of Sausalito as you explore its Mediterranean-style streets and scenic waterfront.
Along the way, our knowledgeable guides will share entertaining and educational information about the sights and history of the area, including fascinating facts about the Golden Gate Bridge. Your Golden Gate Bridge guided bike tour will conclude in Sausalito around 12:30-12:45pm, allowing you time for a leisurely lunch before continuing your adventure to Muir Woods National Monument on our comfortable minicoach.
Your Muir Woods tour will then begin! You’ll wander through ancient groves of coastal redwoods, experiencing a full sensory immersion in this ‘living museum’ of towering trees that once dominated the West Coast. Spend a generous hour and a half exploring the serene beauty of Muir Woods before embarking on the next leg of your journey. After Muir Woods, return to the town of Sausalito for a quick stop before heading back to San Francisco.
