Nami Island
Nami Island has become especially famous for its winter scenery after K-Drama Winter Sonata was filmed there. 63 km away from Seoul, it is criss-crossed with capivating, tree-lined paths; dotted with statuary; and offers rental bikes, an elevated mono-railbike, a museum, and ziplines.

The Garden of Morning Calm
A great spot to visit for families, couples, and photographers alike. The garden was conceptualized by Professor Han Sang-kyung. His vision was to create an arboretum that would make Korean aesthetics world-famous. The name comes from Sir Tagore, a great Indian poet, who described Korea during the Joseon Dynasty as “The Land of the Morning Calm.” Flowers are in bloom from March to November, so the garden is usually busy during this period. In addition to the beautiful foliage, there are a variety of festivals and special displays held throughout the year.

Gangchon
Take a ride on the longest rail bike in Gangwon-do, and enjoy the beauty of the Han River, mountains and farms. The rail bike runs on an old set of railway tracks, which run mostly downhill, so it's easy going.
