From Grindelwald, you can take the cable car up to Grindelwald First, which is a minor summit situated on the face of Mount Schwazhorn. Its primary purpose is as a cable car station, but there are plenty of attractions to enjoy during your visit. With a range of endrenaline-fueled activiites, fine dining, and stunning vantage points on offer, you won’t be stuck for something to do once you arrive at Mount First following your cable car ride. Or, you might prefer to have some leisure time and delicious food at the First Mountain Restaurant. It may be rather cold at this altitude. Wrap up warm so you can be humbled by the sheer vastness of the mountainside.

Once you’ve spent some time at Mount First, you’ll be able to begin your hike to Bachalpsee. Your tour guide will lead you and it will be a 6 kilometre hike in total. Stretch your legs and breathe completely clean and fresh air, taking in your surroundings and the quiet atmosphere. You can expect to walk around 50 minutes both to and from the lake. The crisp and clean waters of the lake are a renewing experience that you’ll remember for a lifetime.

Once you have reached Grindelwald, the hiking tour will begin with your guide escorting you through the main centre of the village.
