  • This tour returns to Reykjavik after visiting the Golden Circle. The Northern Lights tour departs the same day, at 9 PM between October and March and at 10 PM between September and April.
  • Northern Lights sightings are not guaranteed. If no sighting takes place during the activity, you may participate in the tour on another date at no additional charge.
  • Hotel pickup is available from most centrally located Reykjavik hotels. Please arrange pickup from your hotel or a nearby location when you call to confirm your reservation. Hotel pickup begins 30 minutes prior to the booked tour start time.
  • If you do not require hotel pickup, this activity begins at the Reykjavik Sightseeing Bus Terminal. You must make your own way to the meeting point. Check-in is 15 minutes prior to the booked tour start time.

Spend a day surrounded by the amazing beauty Iceland is known for on this tour to the Golden Circle and Northern Lights. In the morning, visit Thingvellir National Park, Geysir Hot Springs, and Gullfoss Waterfall, then cap your day off with the breathtaking Northern Lights in the evening.

Start your morning by heading to the Golden Circle from Reykjavik. Your first stop is at Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site situated on the boundary of the American and Eurasian tectonic plates. Marvel at the unique and varied beauty of its landscapes and learn about its history from your guide before moving on. At the geothermal area of Geysir Hot Springs, witness the natural phenomenon of the Strokkur Geyser, which sends streams of water high into the air every few minutes.

Your tour of the Golden Circle concludes with the astounding Gullfoss Waterfall, where torrents of glacial water thunder down 2 steps into a 105-foot (32-m) crevice. After admiring the sight, return to Reykjavik, where you can spend the rest of your afternoon however you please. In the evening, meet your guide again and head out in search of the day's perfect spot for viewing the Northern Lights. Once you reach your destination, step out of your vehicle and gaze up at the night sky, which soon fills with ethereal, dancing colours. This phenomenal, natural sight is the perfect end to any day.
