Pay a visit to one of the most historic cities in Korea's far southeast on a day of historic treasures, relics, and monuments around Gyeongju. An early morning pickup from your Seoul hotel brings you arriving to Seoul Station for a convenient express train ride to Gyeongju. Once you arrive in the ancient city, meet your guide and set out for a visit to Seokguram Grotto, an 8th-century hermitage on the slopes of Mount Toham that contains a monumental statue of the Buddha looking at the sea.

After some time to explore the surrounding Bulguksa Temple complex, visit Tumuli Park to see tombs from the Silla dynasty, one of the ancient Three Kingdoms of Korea. The huge, walled park has 23 tombs of Silla monarchs and family members, and you can see some of the fabulous treasures they contained when you visit the Gyeongju National Museum, your last stop of the day.
