Activity itinerary

Plaza Foch
  • 15m
We begin our adventure in this square that is the heart of the centenary area of "La Mariscal", where we will have a welcome and technical talk. Then we began the tour of the area, delighting in its architecture belonging to the golden age of the Quito aristocracy at the beginning of the 20th century.
Parque El Ejido
  • 30m
We leave the "La Mariscal" area to get a little closer to the historic centre of the city, after about 20 minutes we arrive at the Ejido park, full of history and heritage plants of Quito where the assassination of a president even occurred.
Basilica del Voto Nacional
  • 20m
  • Admission ticket not included
Before entering the historic centre of Quito we stopped to enjoy the beauty of this neo-Gothic style church full of details that make it unique in the world. Additionally, if you wish, we can climb its towers, which are an excellent viewpoint of the city.
Independence Square
  • 30m
The square, which is surrounded by the most important buildings in the city, is the heart of the historic centre of Quito, a site where many events occurred and which continues to be a meeting point for Quiteños. (Bike time from the basilica to the main square is 15 minutes)
Palacio Arzobispal
  • 15m
We entered this building not only to delight in its beautiful Andalusian patio but to taste the delicacies they prepare for us from the hands of local artisans.
Yumbos Chocolate
  • 45m
  • Admission ticket included
Right in front of the Church of San Francisco, one of the oldest in Quito, we will visit the Yumbos chocolate store where we will taste the best chocolate in our country. (10 minutes by bike from the previous stop)
Calle La Ronda
  • 15m
A bohemian street in the centre of Quito welcomes us with its festive atmosphere and spectacular views of the "Virgen del Panecillo"
Teatro Sucre
  • 15m
We begin to leave the historic centre of Quito behind heading north along the old road to Cartagena and on this route we pass by the Sucre National Theatre. From La Ronda street it will take us about 15 minutes by bicycle.
Parque La Alameda
  • 20m
We crossed through La Alameda park, which was the first garden in Quito, where for the first time plants totally unknown to Quiteños coming from other latitudes were planted, a space that also houses the astronomical observatory and other monuments.
Mariscal District
  • 25m
We will tour the eastern area of the "La Mariscal" area, an area of Quito related to the great world wars and that has become an important cultural space. We will ride our bicycles through its streets for approximately 25 minutes
Guapulo Viewpoint
  • 30m
This site, somewhat unknown to tourists, offers us a very beautiful view of Quito and the Andes mountain range, with a little luck we can admire some volcanoes. It is also the place where the Spanish conquerors in the 16th century began their journey in search of the country of cinnamon. It will take us about 20 minutes to reach this viewpoint by bicycle.
Parque La Carolina
  • 30m
After about 20 minutes by bicycle we arrive at the heart of the mega centre of Quito where we will not only visit the park, we will also tour its surroundings that show us the most modern facet of the city. From here we will return to our meeting point to culminate a day full of adventures, flavours and unforgettable experiences.
