What you can expect

We start with pick-up service from hotels, hostels, from central area (around Plaza San Francisco). Tiwanaku is located approximately two hours away from La Paz.

We begin with a visit to the Tiwanaku Museum, showcasing the cultural legacy of the Tiwanaku Empire from 3000 B.C. to 1180 A.C. Following this, we explore the UNESCO World Heritage archaeological site, featuring the Semi-underground Temple of Kalasasaya, the iconic Puerta del Sol honouring Pachacutec, the Puerta de la Luna dedicated to the moon goddess Killa, the imposing Akapana Pyramid, and notable monoliths such as Bennett, Fraile, and Ponce. After the site visit, we’ll enjoy lunch in the main town before returning to La Paz.
