Spanning over 20,000 hectares, it is known for its breathtaking landscapes, diverse ecosystems, and challenging mountain trails. The park takes its name from the impressive rock formations that resemble giant organs, which can be observed in certain areas. These formations are a prominent feature of the park's rugged mountain range, which is part of the larger Serra do Mar mountain system. This iconic landmark is one of the main attractions of the Serra dos Órgãos National Park and serves as a symbol of Teresópolis.
