Activity itinerary

You will be able to experience judo training at a traditional judo dojo—a space for immersive learning or meditation—called Daishin Judo Club. The dojo was founded in 1976, and the sensei (Akihiro Matsuura), an eighth dan black belt, has been teaching in the art of judo for almost 50 years. If it's your first time to do judo, you will practice the basic posture and movements, and learn how to grapple, do ukemi, a break falling technique, and use some basic throwing forms. If you already have experience with judo, you can learn throwing techniques—nage-waza—and ground techniques—ne-waza. You can always ask questions and learn about the history of Judo, as well. The instructor can speak Japanese, English, and Korean.
