Overview

For over 10 years I have been offering completely individual city tours in Berlin. My mission is to summarise the complexity of the capital with different and fascinating perspectives.
With me you get impressions about the development of the city: from its foundation, through the Kingdom of Prussia, the Nazi era, the GDR to the modern Berlin of today.
Whether a journey through history, a relaxed drive through the green Berlin (Tiergarten, Park Gleisdreieck, etc.) or capturing many beautiful photo motifs in well-known and hidden places. Everything is possible!

This is an individual tour.
The route can be personalised as desired.

This tour is also available for bigger groups (2 adults and 1 child per cab).

The guided tour can be in German, English, Italian, Spanish or French.

It is possible to order drinks separately.

Activity itinerary

Weltzeituhr
  • 5m
This is a popular meeting place on Alexanderplatz for tourists and Berliners as well. From the city's medieval border to the former centre of the GDR capital.
Nicholas Quarter
  • 5m
The oldest settlement site in the twin city of Berlin-Cölln. Almost completely destroyed in the Second World War, then rebuilt for the 750th anniversary of the city.
Museum Island
  • 5m
  • Admission ticket not included
Commissioned by the Prussian kings, it has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1999. The Berlin Cathedral and the new Berlin Palace are also nearby.
Die Hackeschen Hoefe
  • 5m
Part of the old town district of Spandauer Vorstadt, the Hackesche Höfe are considered the largest enclosed courtyard area in Germany. An interplay of youth-style facades and pretty little backyards.
Palace of Tears
  • 5m
The former exit hall of the border crossing at Bahnhof Friedrichstraße, where you can still walk through the control counters.
Bebelplatz
  • 5m
A place full of history, here you can see what beauty meant 300 years ago. Then as now, a place for culture. An empty library commemorates the burning of books on 10 May 1933.
Gendarmenmarkt
  • 5m
With its monumental buildings, Gendarmenmarkt is one of the most beautiful squares in Berlin, an ensemble of concert hall and churches adorned with towers.
Checkpoint Charlie
  • 5m
The former border crossing is a reminder of the divided Berlin and the Cold War, partly also the scene of tragic escape attempts.
Topography of Terror
  • 5m
The longest remaining section of the Berlin Wall still stands here in its original state.
Potsdamer Platz
  • 5m
One of the city's most important traffic junctions of the last two centuries shows itself with its very modern buildings. Destroyed by the division of the city, elements of the old Potsdamer Platz are still hidden today.
Tiergarten
  • 30m
With many sights and bridges, it is known as the green heart of Berlin. Our route takes us past the Victory Column, the Office of the Federal President, the House of World Cultures, the Carillon and the Soviet Memorial and, of course, through the enchanting nature of the park.
Victory Column (Siegessaule)
  • 5m
  • Admission ticket not included
Mostly linked to the Love Parade, the Victory Column with the Victoria Angel commemorates three important Prussian victories. Only in its vicinity do interesting details such as the gilded cannons stand out.
Bellevue Palace
  • 5m
  • Admission ticket not included
From Prince's Residence, it has served as the first official residence of the German Federal President since 1994.
Government District
  • 5m
The government quarter was only built around the year 2000 and is located directly on the Spreebogen with the historic Reichstag building.
Brandenburg Gate
  • 5m
As the end of Unter der Linden, it is the only surviving city gate in Berlin. Berlin's most famous landmark has been a memorial to division and then a symbol of unity, and today it is a real national symbol.

What a GREAT ADVENTURE! Our guide Leo explained the events with historical vision. We stopped to do the touristy pictures, but what we enjoyed was the meanings and value behind the stops. He offered before and after pictures to put what we were seeing into context. It is heart wrenching when you realize what you are looking at are gun shots on the building. Leo was excellent at explaining daily life. Please come see him.

Fantastic way to see and learn about Berlin. Our guide took us on a journey through time (even if we jumped around centuries a bit) and helped us to understand how this wonderful city evolved into what we see today. He ensured that we experienced all the key sites like Checkpoint Charlie, Brandenburg Gate and Alexaderplatz. Well worth the cost.
