What you can expect
Tour Itinerary
Day One: Airport- Amman
arrive in Amman, capital governate of Jordan, one of the oldest cities in the world. City of seven hills like Rome. Amman is inhabited continuously for thousand of years.
No planned activities for today. If you arrive early, you might want to wander in the Rainbow street and see the old cafes and houses or you could walk in the old town of Amman to explore the souks and sweets shops.

Day Two: Amman City Tour- Jerash- Amman
This morning we drive for 10 minutes to Amman centre. We visit the citadel - Jabal al- Qal'ah, the highest point in Amman, on the slope of the hill we see the Roman Temple of Hercules, 2nd c. A.D. and buildings of Umayyad Palace 7th c. A.D.
After, we descend to the Roman Theatre, in the heart of Amman to see the traditional clothes museum.
Noon time, we drive to Jerash, 40 km journey north, lunch at Jerash. Jerash is an ancient site that was inhabited for over 6500 years. The main era was in Roman Times. Jerash was one of the Decapolis (ten cities) acknowledged as the best preserved Roman towns in the Middle East.

like one hour drive journey back, we will be at our hotel in Amman.
Day Three: Amman- Madaba- Desert Castles Amman
we start the day by visiting Madaba, known as the capital of mosaics in the Middle East.
we visit saint George church and see the map of Jerusalem and Holy land implemented on the floor of the church 6thc. A.D. after we head to Mount Nebo, where Moses looked over the Holy land before his death.
at Moses church, you have the free time to see splendid patterns of mosaic. By noon time, we drive towards east of Amman to the desert castles.
an hour and a half drive journey from Madaba through the peaceful black desert to visit several palaces. First we visit Amra castle UNESCO site 8th c. A.D. It's a wonderful example of Islamic Art and portray scenes.
we also visit Kharana palace, a new architecture style in the region.
at the end, we visit Azraq forte, the headquarters of Lawrence of Arabia (1917).
after this busy day, we head back to Amman.
Day Four: Amman- Kerak Castle- Little Petra- Petra
Early departure after breakfast, head to Kerak, 2 hours drive journey.
the old testament name Ker- Herasah. It became more famous during crusades as one of the most fortified castles 1142 A.D.
after lunch, we follow the King's Way to Little Petra. We stop at Dana Valley view and see the scattered villages where we see more of the Jordanians houses and life style.
before we arrive Petra, we stop at nearby site, Little Petra , Neolithic and Nabatean site 7000 B.C. , 106 A.D.
Day Five: Petra Exploring Day
Today we learn about the masterpieces of Nabateans who were able to master floods and mountains difficulties and changed the steep mountains into Art Pearls. We follow the natural canyon of Siq which punctuated by Nabateans monuments down to the Treasury, ( Al- Kaznah).
This guided tour takes us to the main highlights of the Treasury, theatre, Royal tombs, colonnaded street, and Roman Gate.
The guide will take us to some key parts, which you may wish to climb to after, like the high place of sacrifice or climb the steep track to the monastery 900 steps.
Day Six: Free Morning -Petra- Wadi Rum
This morning, we will be on King's Way, panoramic views all the way, and Bedouins black tents scattered among these wild mountains. Upon arrival to Wadi- Rum visitor centre, we transfer into 4x4 vehicles, exploring the spectacular sand dunes and follow the ancient routs of spice and silk traders.
Visit Lawrence House, on the way back we visit some camels rock- art (3rd c. B.C.) before we are back at our Bedouin home, where you enjoy traditional meal by the camp fire under the stars.
our Bedouin host will give us Bedouin coffee lesson on wood fire and tell us more about Bedouin culture and norms.
Day Seven: Wadi Rum -Aqaba
Our Bedouin experience is not finished yet. We still have the chance to go on camels, and see the horizon from different feeling or we can take the Jeep cars straight ahead back to Wadi Rum visitor centre.
1 hour bus journey to Aqaba, relaxing day on the Red Sea. Many locals like to come to Aqaba as the only coastal city in Jordan.
Before sunset, our guide will take us in a city tour to see spices and sweets shops. You might want to eat together in sea-food local restaurant.
Day Eight: Aqaba- Dead Sea- Amman
This morning we depart Aqaba and follow the Wadi Araba road, where you see two countries along the journey, Israel on the left side and Jordan on the right side (We signed peace treaty with Israel 1994)
This scenic road goes on the bed of the rift valley where colours of dunes and mountains are changing the scenery in dramatic way.
We will see the Ghore farms where most of vegetables and fruits on Jordanian dish come from.
This is 4 hours bus journey before we arrive the Dead Sea, the unique water body that has high salt content (33%) which means no marine life survives and it's impossible to sink.
It's an amazing experience of natural floating on the calm sea.
Finally, we drive back to Amman (the capital). You've some free time for some shopping and enjoy oriental meal.
This marks the end of your trip.
Day Nine: Amman- Airport
The trip ends after breakfast. If you choose to stay longer in Jordan to do more activities, we are always available to advise.
