Overview

we are a government licensed tour operator Unbeaten Japan.

We are a long time foreigner owned and designed tour operator who deeply understands the foreign perspective in Japan and we are here to maximise your experience.

We built this tour around fun, family focus, empowering kids in Japan, AMAZING nature and great food as well. From small children to teenagers, the kids all love Kagoshima just like our own kids who live here do too!

We give the kids useful language in the morning that we will give them chances to use throughout the day.

We will be taking photos for you to remember this stunning Kagoshima adventure.

We can also be your translators as we bump into the super friendly and beautiful Kagoshima locals.

Living in Kagoshima a long time, we know how to get to the best places without burning out our feet, the best beach spots, natural hot springs, and have a team to have everything we need at just the right time from cold sliced seasonal fruits to beach gear.

Activity itinerary

Sakurajima ferry Kagoshima port Terminal
  • 20m
  • Admission ticket included
Good Morning, we are starting off with a 20 minute ferry ride with great views of our beloved Sakurajima volcano. On this ferry, kids will have a chance to explore the ship and learn about Kagoshima history and geography.
Sakurajima Nagisa Foot Bath Park
  • 1h 30m
  • Admission ticket included
What better way to start the morning than with a hot coffee and a foot hot spring. Laden with smooth stones to soothe the soles of your feet, we will enjoy some excellent views with volcano heated water running calf deep. This tropical beauty spot has a panoramic view of the city skyline and waterfront nature and is directly adjacent to the boardwalk of Rainbow Beach, a secluded yet developed beach with a view of the volcano where we will have beach toys inflatables and a stone protected lagoon ideal for all ages to jump in and refresh ourselves safe from ocean creatures. We will also have some of Sakurajima's fun floating volcano rocks to throw into the water. We do have access to the adjacent bathrooms for changing and we will refresh with chilled seasonal fruits that are vine ripened and truly amazing. Forbidden from exporting, these only in Japan varieties are sweeter than sweets and will get us ready to hop back on the ferry back to city centre Kagoshima.
Tenmonkan
  • 1h
  • Admission ticket included
Ok now that we've grounded and enjoyed some nature, its time to explore the shops and restaurant areas of city centre. We will get a ride from the port to Tenmonkan, the historic roof covered restaurant and shopping area of city centre Kagoshima just minutes from the ports and adjacent to an indoor waterfall where we will enjoy a hot yaki donut fresh off the grill and explore the local yakushima wood arts that are true beauties. Following the warmth in our stomachs, its off to the pokemon and collectibles shop where kids will lead us to see Japan's famous games and collectibles from Pokemon to Dragon Ball and many more. Everyone 17 and younger gets a complimentary pack of Japanese Pokemon cards to bring home as well. Tenmonkan may also have seasonal and other stops if at all possible.
Nishi Hongan-ji Temple Kagoshima Betsu-in
  • 2h
  • Admission ticket included
Directly adjacent to tenmonkan, this Buddhist monastery which is still in use is breathtaking and just part of everyday Japan. Although we are not permitted to enter the inside of the monastery, this will be the pickup point where we go onto our next stop.. LUNCH!! I hope you're hungry, because today we are eating an all-inclusive Japanese BBQ with unbelievable quality wagyu, we hope that many of the kids will have 2-3 phrases in Japanese which they will be able to use at lunch. From here we will head back to the cruise port for all cruise guests and we hope you made some new friends here in our much loved city on the bay.
