Learn about the brief history and parts of a Kakejiku (hanging scroll) with us! We'll brush up on some interesting facts about a Kakejiku while having a one of a kind experience of unwinding and seeing high quality kakejikus up close. The class will run for two hours, talking about the history, parts, differences from Western art, some fun facts about Kakejiku, learning how to unwind and tie it up, getting a deeper understanding of the art. A complementary tea time is also included, having some free time to talk and ask questions about the class. At the end of the class, there will also be some good quality kakejikus available for purchase, perfect as a souvenir or a gift to yourself! Also, we'll have some museum recommendations if you'll be interested in seeing more kakejikus during your trip packed with the knowledge from the class!
