My “Kiez”, my favourite restaurants:
Join me on this gastro tour through the buzzing ‘Wrangelkiez’ in Kreuzberg. Experience the culinary diversity of the Kiez and discover new flavours from traditional German delicacies to vibrant international street food.
The walk is a mix of stops and tastings at some of my tried and tested favourite restaurants with history and anecdotes from the area.
We will stop at five different restaurants and street food stalls. The changing programme may include Turkish, Ethiopian, Vietnamese, Peruvian, Austrian and German specialities. A “snack” is a small portion - definitely more than a praline-sized bite: you can expect to have a full meal over the course of the tour. Drinks are not included in the price.
Berliner Döner Kebap and/or Currywurst are not plan of the regular schedule but can of course be accomodated for private tours on request.
Most dietary requirements can also be accommodated!
Possible stops are: Oberbaumbrücke, Schlesische Straße / U-Bahn station Schlesisches Tor, Landwehrkanal, Lohmühleninsel, Wrangelstraße, Markthalle IX. The tour starts near the Oberbaumbrücke and the route is adjusted depending on the day of the week and the season.
This gastro walk focusses on a relatively small area of the neighbourhood and is therefore not a comprehensive “Kreuzberg tour”. It is also interesting for Berliners who have no experience of the Kiez.
