What you can expect

Kyoto is well known as an ancient capital of Japan, and attracts many travellers year after year. It has a lot to offer, however is difficult to choose where to go.

In my Kyoto tour, I will take you to the Must-see spots of Kyoto in most efficient way. Most places are ranked in top 10 attractions.

You will enjoy seeing unique and beautiful sights, and also the hidden gems of each location. We will stroll the city on foot and by train like locals for the day.

This is the “Regular tour itinerary”.

JR Kyoto station →Nishiki Market street →Ponto-cho street →Gion district→ Yasaka shrine →Sannen-zaka shopping street→Kiyomizu-dera temple →Sanju-sangendo temple →Fushimi Inari shrine →back to JR Kyoto station or city centre Kyoto to end the tour.

If you like a quiet and “off the beaten track type” of tour with fewer tourists, here is an “Alternative tour itinerary”.

JR Kyoto station →Gion District →Yasaka shrine and Maruyama park →Heian-jingu shrine Sacred garden →Philosopher’s path →Eikando temple (optional) →Nanzenji temple →Kyoto Incline park →city centre Kyoto or back to JR Kyoto station to end the tour.

As this is a private tour, if you have any requests to visit other places, I can customise a tour for you.

During my Kyoto tour, you can learn not only about sights, but also about Japanese culture, history, ways of thinking, manners, everyday life, and more.

I am also interested in learning from you about your country, culture, about you and your family.

Let's share fun time together!
