This itinerary suits people who like 4wd adventures, bumpy roads and the isolation of the Outback. You will feel the real sense of Peace and quietness of the Litchfield, far away from the crowds.
Pick Up at 7.00 AM
Breakfast in nature, Manton Dam and Batchelor
First stop will be at Menton Dam for our sunrise breakfast in Nature. After breakfast we are going to head to Batchelor, the southern entrance to Litchfield. We can visit Rum Jungle Lake, the old mine now a very deep 80 metres lake.
Termite Mounds
20 minutes after Batchelor we are going to stop at the spectacular termite mounds to appreciate the hard work of the Cathedral and Magnetic Termites.
Buley Rock holes
Very close to Florence fall we are going to visit the beautiful swimming holes. It should be quite early in the morning, avoiding the big crowd.
Florence Falls
Our first waterfall! you can choose to swim in, or just to appreciate the beautiful lookout. We have 135 steps to get there, but don't worry, Mattia will help you.! Dry season this place can get very busy, but Mattia will show you very quiet places to swim in, always giving you a not crowded alternative. We love nature when we can listen to it!
The Lost City is a series of impressive towering sandstones in Litchfield National Park.
GREENANT
Greenant Creek is a walking track to the top of the Tjaetaba Falls in Litchfield National Park.
The walk is a 2.7km return track that starts at the picnic area near the car park. You can swim at the top of the waterfall.
Wangi Falls
Welcome to one of the wildest corners of Monsoonal vine Forest, our tropical forest in the Top End. You can enjoy the Lookout and a beautiful walk in the ancient forest, and an optional swim if you feel in the mood.
We spend the Night in Litchfield. Basic accommodation included in the price (I am happy to send you the photos of the accommodation prior the tour).
On the Second Day
CASCADES
We will stop at Cascade car park to have our breakfast. We are going to walk to the upper pools enjoying this shining and clean natural SPA.
We are going to get the famous Rynold track!
An adventurous off-road drive, taking us to the hidden gems of Litchfield!
SANDY CREEK (TJAYANERA FALLS)
Explore this 3.4-km out-and-back trail near Litchfield Park, Northern Territory. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 46 min to complete. This trail is great for hiking and walking, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring. The falls plunge pool is very large, deep and popular for swimming in the clear deep water. A great spot to enjoy a picnic lunch and relax by the waterhole.
Surprise Creek
A short walk from the car park, you climb up to find 2 gorgeous rock pools.
